Wall Street English Global Online Classroom

By accessing our Wall Street English Learning Platform (world.wallstreetenglish.com) or the Learn English App, you (the “Student”) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out herein.

 

A/ Responsibilities of the student:

1. The course is personal to the student whose name is registered with us and is not transferrable.
2. Student is responsible for maintaining the secrecy of the username and password of the account with Wall Street English for accessing our learning materials and attending classes.
3. Student is required to attend lessons punctually. If he/she is unable to attend a reserved lesson, he/she must cancel and reschedule the lesson at least 24 hours before it starts on the Wall Street English Learning Platform or our Learn English App.

 

B/ Discipline of Student:

1. Student should follow the study habit as recommended by Wall Street English.
2. Student should be polite and show respect to Wall Street English teachers and staff.
3. Student should be friendly with other Wall Street English students.
4. Student should be dressed in decent attire and have gentle and refined demeanour.

 

C/ Wall Street English's Right of Termination:

Wall Street English shall have the right to terminate your course upon occurrence of any of the following events:

1. Student fails to settle the tuition fee or the payment is rejected by the bank;
2. Student's behaviour, in the absolute opinion of Wall Street English, is causing a nuisance to other students or staff of Wall Street English and is not improved within a reasonable period of time following a reminder from Wall Street English;
3. Student is frequently absent from reserved lessons.

Wall Street English's right of termination is not deemed to be waived if it is not exercised by Wall Street English and Wall Street English reserves the right to exercise it anytime later. In the event of exercise of right of termination, all the fees paid by the student will be forfeited by Wall Street English and will not be refunded.

 

 

D/ Tuition Fees and Payment

1. All tuition fees, once paid, are non-refundable.
2. All tuition fees for our courses are recurring fees. You may cancel the recurring subscription by clicking the “Manage subscription” link in our renewal reminder email before your tuition fee is due for payment or by sending an email to us at least 7 working days before your next tuition payment is processed. If you do not cancel your subscription before the end of your course period, you automatically agree to an automatic renewal of your course at the same price and for the same duration.

 

E/ Class Booking/ Attendance

1. You agree and accept that before attending an Encounter Class, you must complete all English Anytime practice exercises for the relevant unit. Otherwise, you will be failed and cannot progress to the next unit/level.
2. If you join an Encounter Class late, you will be asked to attend the Encounter Class of same unit again before you can move on to the next unit/ level.
3. If you attend an Encounter Class without completing all English Anytime practice exercises for the relevant unit, or if you have completed but do not show up for a reserved class, or if, in teacher’s opinion, you will need to retake the same Encounter Class, you can only book the next class that is held at least 6 days after the previous class.
4. If you attend a Complementary Class or a Social Club Class or if you do not show up for a reserved class, you can only book the next class (of the same class type) that is held at least 6 days after the previous class.
5. You understand that there is only one topic for all Complementary Classes in the same week.
6. You understand that there is only one topic for all Social Club Classes in the same week.

 

F/ Copyright

1. Student agrees to keep confidential on all course materials supplied by Wall Street English and acknowledges that copyright and all other intellectual property rights in all course materials belong to Wall Street English.
2. Student agrees to allow Wall Street English to take photos and video of class activities (which may include the Student) and use such photos or videos for promotional or marketing purposes.

G/ Personal Data and Privacy Policy

1. Wall Street English respects the privacy right of our students who use Wall Street English's English learning services (the “Services”) and we endeavour to ensure that all our collection, transmission, storage and usage of personal data shall be carried out in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486 of the laws of Hong Kong) as amended from time to time (“PDPO”).
2. Personal data collected from our students may be used and you agree that your personal data can be used by Wall Street English for the following purposes:
   • Following up and processing of your application for the Services;
   • Designing and enabling the provision of the Services to you (including giving reminders so to ensure that you follow the study habit as recommended by Wall Street English);
   • Conducting identity verification and/or credit checks at the time of your application for the Services;
   • Processing of payment instructions or collection of amounts outstanding from you in relation to the provision of the Services;
   • Marketing of other Services provided by Wall Street English;
   • Providing or updating information about our Services, promotions, gifts or loyalty program details;
   • Any purposes ancillary or incidental to the operation or administration of our loyalty program or the like;
   • Conducting market research or customer surveys;
   • Following up and handling your complaints and enquiries.

1. All personal data collected and held by Wall Street English will be kept confidential, but disclosure is necessary for Wall Street English to provide the Services to you. You agree that Wall Street English may disclose your personal data to the following parties:

• Competent statutory or regulatory authorities upon their request;
• WSE Hong Kong Limited and its affiliates;
• Wall Street English Hong Kong Limited and its affiliates;
• Banks, financial institutions, credit card issuing companies and other service providers (including messaging platforms) involved in the sale, administration or provision of the Services (or any part thereof);
• Our professional advisers; and
• Persons who may be entitled to disclosure under circumstances described in Part VIII of the PDPO.

 

Agreement between you and Wall Street English shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong.

If there is any inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions of this document, the English version shall prevail.

Wall Street English Global Online Classroom

 

通過使用我們Wall Street English的學習平台(world.wallstreetenglish.com) 或者”Learn English”應用程式，你（「學員」）同意遵從以下的條款和條件:

 

A/ 學員的責任 :

1. 本課程只適用於報名登記所示姓名之學員，不得轉讓。
2. 學員有責任將登入Wall Street English 學習平台的用戶名稱和密碼以使用我們的學習資源和預留課堂保密，不洩露予第三者。
3. 學員有責任準時出席已預約之課堂，如學員未能出席，必須於課堂開始前最少24小時，運用Wall Street English的學習平台或”Learn English”應用程式取消及預約另一課堂。

 

B/ 學員的紀律:

1. 學員應遵循 Wall Street English 所建議的學習計劃。
2. 學員應有禮對待並尊重 Wall Street English 教師及職員。
3. 學員應以友善態度對待 Wall Street English 的其他學員。
4. 學員在上課堂時應穿著得當，言行溫文有禮。

 

C/ Wall Street English的終止權利:

Wall Street English 有權根據下列任何一項發生事件，終止課程:

1. 學員未能繳付學費，或者繳費被銀行拒絕；
2. Wall Street English 認為學員的行為對其他學員或 Wall Street English 職員造成滋擾，且於 Wall Street English 提醒後未有於合理時間內有所改進；
3. 學員經常缺席預留課堂。

 

即使 Wall Street English 的終止權利未被行使，亦不能被當作已被放棄，且 Wall Street English 保留在以後任何時間行使此終止權利的權利。如行使終止權利，所有學員已繳付的學費將不獲退款。

 

D/ 學費和付款

1. 所有已付的學費是不會退還的。
2. 所有的學費是重複的費用。你可以在付款提示電郵裏點擊”Manage subscription” 連結，或者在下一次付款前最少7個工作天發電郵给我們，以中止你的訂購。如果你不在課程完結前中止訂購，你自動同意按同一個學費自動延長同一樣期限的課程。

 

E/ 預留課堂和上課

1. 你同意並接受在上Encounter Class 之前，必須完成相關單元所有的English Anytime 練習，否則，你不會合格，亦不能進階至下一個單元/程度。
2. 如果你遲到Encounter Class，你會被要求重新上一次同一單元的Encounter Class， 才可進階至下一個單元/程度。
3. 如果你在上Encounter Class 之前沒有完成相關單元所有的English Anytime 練習，或者你完成練習但沒有出席課堂，又或者老師認為你需要重讀同一單元的Encounter Class，你只可預留上一課堂最少6天後同一單元的Encounter Class。
4. 如果你完成Complementary Class 或者Social Club Class，或者預留相關課堂但沒有出席課堂，你只可預留上一課堂最少6天後同一類別的課堂。
5. 你明白Complementary Class 每星期只有一個課題。
6. 你明白Social Club Class 每星期只有一個課題。

 

F/ 版權

1. 學員同意對 Wall Street English 所提供的課程教材予以保密，並確認版權及課程教材內的一切知識產權歸 Wall Street English 所有。
2. 學員同意允許 Wall Street English 拍攝課堂活動的照片及錄像（可能包括學員）作宣傳或巿場推廣用途。

 

G/ 個人資料（私隱）條例

1. Wall Street English 尊重使用Wall Street English英語學習及其他考試報名服務（「服務」）的學員之隱私權，且盡量確保所收集及使用及儲存及透露及傳送的所有個人資料均遵照《個人資料（私隱）條例》（香港法例第486章）規定的責任及要求，並可不時修訂（”PDPO”）。
2. 從學員收集的個人資料可被使用，且閣下同意所提供之個人資料可被 Wall Street English 作以下用途:

• 為閣下跟進及處理服務的申請；
• 為閣下設計所需的服務及提供服務（包括預約課堂及作出提醒，以確保閣下遵循所建議的學習計劃）；
• 在閣下申請使用服務時核實身份及／或作信貸審查；
• 為閣下處理與服務有關的付款指示或追收欠款；
• 推廣 Wall Street English 之其他服務或；
• 提供或更新有關本校服務，推廣，贈品或學員獎賞計劃的資訊；
• 任何相關或附帶於學員獎賞或類似計劃之運作或行政的目的；
• 進行市場研究或顧客意見調查；
• 處理閣下的投訴及查詢。

1. Wall Street English 收集及持有關於閣下的個人資料均會被保密處理；但為向閣下提供服務， Wall Street English 有披露資料的必要。閣下同意 Wall Street English 有可能向下述人士披露閣下的個人資料:

• 具管轄權的政府法定或監管部門（有需要時）；
• WSE Hong Kong Limited 及其附屬公司；
• Wall Street English Hong Kong Limited及其附屬公司；
• 銀行、金融機構、信用卡發行公司、及參與銷售、行政、提供溝通或服務之其他服務供應商（包括通訊平台）（「第三方供應商」）；
• 本校的專業顧問；及
• 根據個人資料（私隱）條例第VIII部分所述情況而可能有權獲披露人士。

 

你和Wall Street English的協議須受香港法律管限，並須按照香港法律解釋。（若中、英文版本有歧異之處，以英文版本為準。）"
